About our 2010 red cuve Prieur Saint Jean de Bbian, Jeb Dunnuck from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate? gave us an excellent review : 93 point !
With this comment : « An incredible Pzenas, the 2010 Pzenas has sensational notes of kirsch and blackberry-like fruit intermixed with lots of spice, licorice and tinges of leather. A blend of 45% Syrah, 30% Grenache and 25% Mourvdre that spent 18 months in a combination of demi-muid and Burgundy barrels, it’s beautifully textured, has a seamless, elegant profile and sweet tannin. I love it now, but it should evolve gracefully on its balance. »
And about the 2009 vintage, still in red he said :
« My favorite in the lineup and the same blend/levageas the 2010, the 2009 Pzenas shows the classicperfume from this appellation with its dried spices, cracked pepper, wild herbs and sweet currant-likefruit. Medium to full-bodied, with lots of character, itshows the slightly rustic tannin of the vintage, yet hasa supple, full mid-palate and good length. It shoulddrink nicely through 2021. »
